Marta's Mathoms

My sympathies go out to the family of Maurice Sendak, who recently died. His was a life well-lived, I think; he certainly made many lives better.

A few months back Colbert interviewed him. Warnings for language, but well worth it if you're craving Sendaky goodness. I'd not thought of him since I was a little kid, but I loved his books back in childhood and loved his wit as an adult. Something about his personality reminded me of Ocean's 11, so here's a tune to groove to on his behalf.

I was fiddling about on Colbert's page for his Super PAC ads, and found this clip. Something about it struck me as particularly funny. Perhaps it's the Bachmann bashing, which is always good for a snark and which we've been without for too long.
