I discovered this song through the TV show "Treme" (which I love, too). Great music, but none of i has really surpassed the song the theme music is based on. This is what I listen to when I'm feeling down and need a little bit of a pick-me-up.

I've been intrigued by the idea of the show since I heard of it, and we recently picked up free HBO for 3 months.

But I don't know if I'll watch it. I don't watch much TV by myself, and the DH is completely creeped out by any shows that have anything to do with Katrina. He can't watch more than a few minutes without getting upset. On the other hand, I'd watch more than is good for me, totally engrossed-- and then can't sleep afterwards.

But I LOVE that music. That is SO New Orleans!

I wouldn't really recommend it for you or Mr. DF, because it can get pretty gritty at times with all the house damage. I just helped organized clean-up crews, and it affected me. It gets hope-ier (new word, I know) but would be hard if you had actually lived through all that.

But glad you like the music!
