Personally, I still love this site and not just because of the company. In a lot of ways, it does the core of what I expect out of social media than a lot of fancier sites. Still, poking fun at it makes me smile.
Oh, I do too! I need to post more fannish stuff here. Mainly this has degenerated into RL stuff, but I do love commenting on what other people are writing and keeping up with here.
I guess I was just amused to see LJ the butt of a joke on a popular webcomic, because I am still here and still quite like it, if you know what I mean.
I know. I just posted over at FB saying I was okay but just not driven to get on their these days because it was one too many things these days.
The funny thing is - I may go to different sites from time to time, but I am always, always pulled back to LJ. It's a format that feels natural to me and of course has the company of people I love and couldn't keep up with any other way. But I've been told more than once if I want to be taken seriously as a netizen it can't be on LJ. It's for lightweights, the expectation seems to be. And there are limits to it, things I'd like a more robust platform to play around in. But... yeah. Taken as a whole, it just feels like home.
