I finally acquired a Granadaverse Sherlock Holmes icon, taken from this set. I'm fairly sure someone from around here (unsettledink, perhaps?) was looking for Holmes icons, so I thought I'd shoot up a flare that this set is worth checking out.

I've watched a few episodes of the current iteration of Sherlock Holmes; but for me, Jeremy Brett was the quintessential Holmes.

Oh, I can understand that. The BBC show has become a thing of its own to me - dealing with Holmesian themes and Holmesian characters (with more or less fidelity), but if I want a telling of Irene Adler's story that feels like the story Doyle gave us, I don't turn to that show's episode with the similar name. It connects to Doyle in a different way. If I want an actual more-or-less faithful adaptation, Granada it is.

Plus, you know. Baker Street Boys in waistcoats. What's not to love?
