When Philosophers Attack
Aug. 21st, 2012 10:45 pmIn America, we're about 2.5 months out from the presidential election. This meant, if I had a TV, it would be full of attack ads. Pity the poor fools reading this who live in a swing state, or who have gotten themselves added to the Obama email distribution list. *shudders*
To help the more philosophical of us get through this time, enjoy these two "attack" ads.
First, Nietzsche attacking Kant:
And then, Kierkegaard defending himself as a "third way" against both Kant and Nietzsche:
In all honesty, I'm a medievalist, which means I understand just enough to find these funny. They may be completely off-base for what these great minds actually taught. It's still worth a chuckle, though!
