beta needed

I'm looking for a beta who is comfortable with the Silm. This is for BMEM, so the pieces are vignette-y and I need turnaround in around a day per piece. I mainly need someone to help me avoid embarrassing myself on Silm canon but also suggestions of when the language gets too flowery for when the characters don't feel right, and general copyediting would be much appreciated.

Is anyone interested?

I'd like to help, but I should be your last choice. It's not that I don't know anything about Silmarillion (I think I am not that bad concerning it), but English is not my mother tongue, as you know, so... I can't help with the language and general copyediting, as you ask. :(
Perhaps I can answer a Silm-question or two now and then. ;)

I would appreciate someone reading the Silmarillion just for canon continuity. I actually have a nice beta that I like to use, but I didn't want to force her out of her comfort zone.

Anyway, I have a draft of a 1,200-word vignette involving Elanor Gamgee and her thoughts about the legacy of Feanor. It's not supposed to be completely accurate in tone or substance (I mean, she's a hobbit living so many millennia later), but I do want to make sure all the mistakes are intentional. I'd love to have you read over it.

A draft is available here. Can you look over it and let me know if you spot anything. Could you email me at mlaytonATfordahDOTedu with your thoughts? (Preferably by tonight, though I can make later changes if necessary.)

Just one thing - I see that it's a docx, and I have the older version of MSOffice. Can you save it as Word2003?
