I'm turning twenty-nine on Tuesday. I keep thinking I should feel old, only I don't. I was all excited about the Harry Potter movie, and then I realized it's the same weekend as a Winnie the Pooh movie, and I was seriously torn between where to spend my movie dollars.
Heh. Back in April, I spent most of my 29th birthday wearing a children's party hat and looking forward to the next Doctor Who episode. I suppose being stuck at the mental age of 9 helps sometimes.
Moreover, it's better to feel young than to start listing all your accomplishments in life (or perceived lack thereof) once you are going on 30. Some friends of mine did this, and they ended up in a blue funk for weeks, if not months, because they suddenly felt they should have achieved so much more etc.
