Dec. 7th, 2014 09:35 pmI'm still reading the housing classifieds, partly because if I come across a better place with a female roommate before next week before next week I may still check it out (though probably not, I like the place I found). But also for the sheer entertainment value. What can I say? Queens has character. Tonight's winner:
To be completely honest, the marijuana aspect is probably the bigger roadblock. I grew up with bad respiratory problems (Near-constant bronchitis) and so my parents were hyper-vigilant about second-hand smoke, and I'm not 100% sure but I've always heard marijuana smoke has the same problems.
Brooklyn, oddly, hasn't had so many problems, but there was the ad last night offering up a hallway for rent. To be fair, I'm sure it was in a trendy neighborhood.
The Bronx has its own problems, but hardly the kind of things that make it into housing ads. As for Manhattan?
I've heard tell of a fifth borough, but if there's any real way of getting to and from it on a regular basis, I'm yet to discover it.
I'm a professional puppeteer and work largely out of the back room of the apartment. Looking for a neat, responsible, 420 and Poly friendly roommate who won't mind the occasional Dr.Who/StarTrek/Cosmos binge watching session in the living room or weird puppets left on the couch from time to time.

Date: 2014-12-08 04:59 am (UTC)Second-hand dope smoke gives me a raging headache, so I avoid it as much as tobacco smoke. Also, even second-hand, the smell gets into stuff. Depending on how much he smokes (could be one a week, or a daily habit), do you want to turn up for job interviews smelling of pot?
