I'm really quite enjoying watching some of my American friends see Sherlock for the first time. I know what they're about to unwrap, and so I can just relish their joy at it all. It's kind of like being a parent of a young child on Christmas morning, only without the hassle of shopping and wrapping.

Also, because Team Moffat is promising a Christmas 2014 release for Sherlock series four, I should probably apologize preemptively to any family, friends, etc. who work hard to make Christmas special. It's not that I don't care about your gift, holiday meal, etc. I really do. The thing is, when you love a fangirl, you have to expect there are some things you simply can't compete with.

Bwhahahaaa, indeed! Spoken like a true fangirl. :D

I know, isn't it wonderful to see people new to the phenomenon? Sooo many people I know are new to Sherlock but have fallen in love with it in just the past week. They're so lucky to not have to wait to see all the episodes. :)

Also, the Christmas 2014 release isn't official yet (as far as I know), so I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet...though what a treat that would be!

You're right about Christmas not being official. If there's anything being in a Moffat fandom teaches us, it's not to set our hopes on good things or a predictable timetable.

You are so right about all the new fans. On the flipside, though, they do have their own cliffhanger to wait to see how it will be resolved, so I can't envy them too much. I can't believe I just saw Reichenbach myself for the first time six months ago, and that was quite a long enough wait.

I am sorry - just not sorry enough to actually change. :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed The Empty Hearse (I reviewed it at my LJ); and have seen snippets of the next two episodes on YouTube.

Of course, what I'm most excited about in those snippets from His Last Vow is the revelation of Redbeard, i.e. who/what was Redbeard (mentioned by Mycroft in Sign of Three) and Redbeard's significance to Sherlock. I swear, Redbeard is making me walk around with a huge grin on my face and simultaneous worry about what did eventually happen...
