Swelter in Place

It's been hot as the bejeezus these last few days, but finally started raining. What beautiful relief from this sweltering heat, and just the sound of thunder and rain pitter-pattering against my window is really lovely.

I'm not sure why, but it has me thinking of PFR's "Pray for Rain." Like most of the Christian rock I grew up with it's a bit on the nose, but also captures something that seems true about the relief rain seems to bring on for me. Enjoy.
