Fairy-tale romance may work well enough for Aragorn and Arwen, and swept-off-your-feet love is how I see Faramir and Eowyn (at first!). But for Denethor, I think he would marry his best friend. I see a lot of myself in his personality, and I know for me, love comes most naturally from friendship. Mraz puts it so well. :-)
